The AK1 Boyscout is a fixed blade EDC knife for anyone who prefers it deliberately simple, reliable, and ready to go. The name says it all: not an overdone showpiece, but an honest tool with a classic outdoor look, understated style, and clear function. The OD green Micarta scales give the knife a down-to-earth, nature-connected character — somewhere between a scout knife, an everyday companion, and a modern custom EDC.

The drop-point blade in CPM MagnaCut is one of the most versatile blade shapes in the AK1 lineup. It's excellent for clean cuts, controlled work, and precise tasks with the tip — whether that's packaging, cord, food prep on the go, or small everyday cutting jobs.

The stonewashed finish fits the functional character of this setup perfectly. It feels unassuming, rugged, and practical, and minor signs of use stand out far less than on heavily polished surfaces. Together with the grippy Micarta scales, the result is a knife that isn't meant to look precious — it's meant to develop character over time.

The AK1 blade was designed by Alex Kremer and brought to life in collaboration with the Böker manufactory in Solingen. That gives you a compact fixed blade knife with premium craftsmanship, made in Germany, and a clear focus on everyday use.

The AK1 Boyscout is the right choice if you want a stripped-back, reliable, and versatile custom knife — ready for everyday carry, your gear bag, and every small task in between.

Notes:

With screwed-on scales, moisture from your hands can occasionally get between the tang and the scales. This can cause a light layer of rust to form in spots, which only becomes visible once the scales are removed. This doesn't affect the knife's quality or function. To help prevent it, we recommend occasionally treating the area with a few drops of food-safe mineral oil, such as Ballistol.

Our Micarta products ship untreated. For deeper colors, you can treat the surface with mineral oil. Micarta develops a natural patina with use. Because of the woven fabric used, every piece is unique; variations in color and texture are normal.
