Sandvik 14C28N is a highly practical everyday alternative. This nitrogen-alloyed Swedish steel is easier to maintain, holds an edge well, and works great for many typical uses as an outdoor or hunting knife. If you want a rugged AK4 that's simple to use and maintain, 14C28N is a strong choice.

The finish also changes the knife's character. The Stonewash finish (available exclusively from us and our dealers) is particularly resistant to wear and tear, as minor signs of use are less noticeable. TwoTone, on the other hand, has a more technical and clean look: The brushed satin finish accentuates the lines of the blade and gives the AK4 an attractive contrast between the blade and the tang.

The scales attach directly to the tang using a matching Torx wrench. One important note: due to their modified shape, our AK4 scales only fit in combination with our AK4 Kydex sheath. Scales and Kydex from Böker are not compatible with our AK4 scales.

If you prefer something more classic, the AK4 Leather ClipSheath is a premium leather sheath made from Italian Dollaro leather. Made in Germany, it fits the AK4 perfectly and brings a distinctly more traditional character through its material, craftsmanship, and patina. Thanks to variations in color, grain, and wear, every leather sheath is one of a kind.
