These AK4 scales add even more functionality to your AK4 for the trail, camp, hunting and survival setup. They combine an ergonomic hold with practical details that offer real added value, especially on the go.

Two features are at the heart of it: the turned stainless-steel inlay for fire drilling and the additional storage space in the handle. The inlay is designed for bow drilling and makes the scales a sensible addition if you want to steer your AK4 more towards bushcraft, survival or a self-sufficient outdoor setup.

The recessed inner faces on both sides offer room for small outdoor and survival accessories. Depending on your setup, you can store things there space-efficiently, such as matches, tinder, fishing tackle, plasters, water purification tablets, a micro compass, tweezers, a pen or even a Victorinox Escort. At the end of the handle there is also a concealed recess for the lanyard eyelet.

The scales are made from Canvas Micarta in OD Green. The material consists of fabric layers pressed together with resin, which makes it rugged, grippy and well suited to a functional hunting knife or outdoor knife. The scales are CNC-milled and deliberately designed for everyday suitability, function and a clean fit.

Fitting is straightforward: the scales are screwed directly onto the tang with a Torx key.

Please note:

We ship our Micarta products untreated. For richer colours, the surface can be treated with mineral oil. Through use, the material develops a natural patina. Because of the woven fabrics, no two scales are identical; variations in colour and structure as well as small inclusions in the material are possible. The tools and accessories shown inside are only an example and are not included in the delivery.

Important note on compatibility: Due to the modified shape, our AK4 scales only fit with our Kydex. Böker’s scales and Kydex are not compatible with our products.

These scales are accessories for knives and are intended exclusively for the models specified in each case. An incorrect fit, damaged scales, unsuitable screws or improper assembly can impair the safe handling of the knife.
