These AK1 scales are the right choice if you want to build your AK1 in a particularly individual way. Unlike the classic scales, these have a milled recess for a separate inlay. The design deliberately stays plain. This lets you combine scale and inlay specifically and make your setup considerably more personal, bringing material contrasts and surface more into focus.

The AK1 Inlay scales are available in titanium (Grade 5 – Ti6Al4V), titanium Rusty with a rust-coloured character surface, titanium Dusk with a matte, midnight-black surface, and in Canvas Micarta in green, natural and black. Titanium stands for stability, low weight and a precise, technical look. Micarta is a rugged, light and proven epoxy composite that, thanks to its pleasant feel and natural material character, suits high-quality EDC setups particularly well.

The scales are CNC-milled, ergonomically shaped and sit comfortably in the hand. To reduce weight, the insides of the scales are skeleton-milled in multi-sided setups with high manufacturing effort.

You can select the matching inlay separately in various materials and designs on the website. This way you decide which combination best suits your AK1. Installation is straightforward: the scales can be screwed directly onto the tang without much effort using a Torx key.

The AK1 is based on a modular system. Choose steel, finish, scales, inlays and materials to match your setup. In the AK1 Configurator you can view different combinations directly on the knife and build your AK1 exactly the way you want.

Notes:

Our Micarta products are shipped untreated. For richer colours, the surface can be treated with mineral oil. The material also develops a natural patina through use. Due to the woven fabrics used, every scale is unique; variations in colour and structure are therefore normal. Titanium is a natural material too; here as well, variations in colour and the possible formation of a patina cannot be avoided.

These scales are accessories for knives and are intended exclusively for the models specified in each case. An incorrect fit, damaged scales, unsuitable screws or improper assembly can impair the safe handling of the knife.

Assembly and fit: Before assembly, check that the knife, scales and screws are clean, dry, undamaged and a proper fit. Scales that do not fit, are damaged or loosely fitted can come loose, slip or impair the stability of the handle.
