The AK1 Worker is a fixed blade knife for anyone who wants to use their tools, not just look at them. The name fits: this AK1 feels rugged, direct, and ready to work — built for everyday use, the workshop, the outdoors, opening packaging, cutting material, and any task where a compact EDC knife needs to be reliably at hand.
The base is an AK1 American Tanto with a two-tone finish and a blade in Böhler N690. This corrosion-resistant steel offers a solid mix of everyday usability, edge retention, and easy maintenance. The clean two-tone finish gives the knife a technical, premium look without losing its tool-like character.
The American tanto blade shape is especially distinctive: it has two cutting zones and a strong secondary tip. That makes it well suited for draw cuts, controlled work, opening packaging, and tasks that put extra stress on the tip. The secondary edge can also be used for more precise cuts.
The orange G10 Diamond scales make the Worker especially grippy and easy to spot. G10 is a rugged composite of fiberglass and epoxy resin that's light, durable, and low-maintenance in everyday use. The diamond texture provides a noticeable grip!
The blade design is by Kremer and was brought to life in collaboration with Böker. The AK1 is made in Germany. This configuration ships with a matching Kydex sheath for secure carry.
Note:
With screwed-on scales, moisture can get between the tang and the scales. An occasional drop of food-safe mineral oil can help protect this area.
